Weather: Heavy rain to fall in these areas
The country will have partly cloudy to partly cloudy skies at night. In some parts of the country, light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning is possible.
KATHMANDU: Currently, it has been raining in different parts of the country since this morning. Light to moderate rains, including thunderstorms and heavy rains, are falling in one or two locations throughout the Lumbini region.
According to the Water and Weather Forecasting Division, the country will experience a general change in the afternoon. Many parts of the country can expect light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning. Heavy rain is possible in one or two places in State 1, Bagmati and Gandaki, as well as in a few places in Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim.

According to the department, the monsoon low-pressure trough is currently located around the normal position to the west and slightly further north than the normal position to the east.
The department has asked for vigilance because the water level in rivers, canals, and rivers may rise, affecting people’s daily lives.
