Heavy rain in Jhapa, alert till afternoon
According to the Flood Forecasting Division, the flood risk in small rivers such as the Mechi, Biring, Ninda, and Adhuwa has increased.
KATHMANDU: It has been raining heavily in various parts of Jhapa since last night. Heavy rain has fallen in some areas of the district, including Shanishare, Chandragadi, Kechana, Ilam, and Jhapa.
According to the Flood Forecasting Division, the flood risk in small rivers such as the Mechi, Biring, Ninda, and Adhuwa has increased.
The department has requested that residents in the coastal and lower areas, which are frequently inundated, remain on high alert until noon today.
