Cyclist killed in tipper collision

KATHMANDU: A cyclist was killed after being hit by a tipper on Wednesday in front of the Geeta petrol pump in Kamal Rural Municipality-5 on the East-West Highway.

A tipper (Bagmati State-03-001P212) heading from west to east collided with a bicycle.

According to Basanta Pathak, Information Officer of the District Police Office in Jhapa, the accident killed 17-year-old Sanjeev Imsong Limbu of the same ward.

The tipper driver, Sujan Baiba, 31, of Churemai Municipality-5 of Makwanpur, has been arrested.
