KATHMANDU: The case against the appointment of 52 Constitutional Commission officers has been postponed. The hearing on the case against 52 constitutional officers appointed during the Oli administration has been rescheduled.
The hearing was called to a halt after legal professionals posed questions to the officials of the constitutional bodies who were in opposition. It is expected that the bench will issue an order in response to their demand.
As soon as the hearing began, the lawyers for the constitutional officers who were made opponents demanded that the constitutional bodies be made opponents as well and that a written response be sent from them.
They demanded that the case involving the constitutional appointment be heard together in the constitutional bench, as it is still in the joint bench.
Permanent Chief Justice Deepak Kumar Karki presided over the constitutional bench and questioned whether or not these cases could be heard. The hearing was then called to a halt.
