COVID-19 infection increasing in Sudurpaschim State
According to Sudurpaschim State Health Directorate, the state has recorded 75 COVID-19 cases since July 17.
BAITADI: COVID-19 infection is increasing in Sudurpaschim State in the recent period. COVID-19 infection is increasing in the State, which shares the border with India, every day.
According to Sudurpaschim State Health Directorate, the state has recorded 75 COVID-19 cases since July 17.
COVID-19 Focal Person at the Directorate Hemraj Joshi said the infection was nil on July 16 and it has now started increasing as COVID-19 infection has started increasing in India and Sudurpaschim State shares a border with India.
Joshi added that health test at all checkpoints of the State has been made strict following the increasing risk of COVID-19.
“Necessary human resources have been mobilized by establishing health desk as well as health test and vaccination program has been continued”, he shared.
Similarly, a vaccination campaign against COVID-19 has been kept in priority in order to prevent and control State infection.
The Directorate has urged all to adopt public health protocols mandatorily as COVID-19 infection is increasing in the state.
A total of 556,975 people underwent for COVID-19 test in Sudurpaschim State so far, and COVID-19 was confirmed on 59,816 people. Likewise, 633 people succumbed to COVID-19 infection in the State so far.
