33 injured, 6 in critical condition in Daune bus accident
A bus overturned and caught fire near the Bishwakarma temple in the Daune road section of Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2 this morning at 5:30 a.m.
KATHMANDU: Thirty-three passengers were injured when a passenger bus caught fire on the East-West Highway in Nawalparasi (Bardghat-Susta East).
A bus overturned and caught fire near the Bishwakarma temple in the Daune road section of Binayi Triveni Rural Municipality-2 this morning at 5:30 a.m.
According to Superintendent of Police Prajwal Maharjan, the bus Na 5 Kha 5100, which was heading from west to east, lost control and crashed into a hill to the north. The fire injured several passengers. Six of the injured, according to Maharjan, are in critical condition.
According to the police, eight of the injured passengers are being treated at the old medical college in Bharatpur, Chitwan, and the others at the Madhyabindu District Hospital in Danda.
