KATHMANDU: The parliamentary committee formed to investigate former finance minister Janardhan Sharma is still meeting today.

The report will be prepared at the 11 a.m. meeting.

In the committee’s second meeting, held on Tuesday at Singha Durbar, committee secretary Surendra Aryal stated that the committee secretary Surendra Aryal is preparing to write a report today after gathering information about the CCTV footage and inviting experts from the Nepal Police’s forensic science laboratory.

He stated that he had consulted with experts regarding the CCTV footage and that he would address all issues in the report.

He also stated that no action will be taken to extend the committee’s term. Due to a lack of time for the investigation, the committee was given a 7-day extension after being given 10 days.

After it was revealed that the tax rate had been changed by allowing unauthorized people to enter the budget, the House of Representatives formed a special committee to investigate.
