Climate Change Indicators: Heavy Precipitation

KATHMANDU: Currently, it is raining in various parts of the country since this morning. Light to moderate rains, including thunderstorms and heavy rains, are falling in one or two locations in the Lumbini region.

According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, there will be light to moderate showers in the afternoon. There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning in some hilly areas of the country and a few other places.

The country will have partly cloudy to partly cloudy skies at night. In some parts of the country, light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning is possible.

The department has requested for caution as the water level in rivers, canals, and rivers may rise, disrupting daily life.
