“Nothing is visible in the recovered forensic lab report”
Surendra Aryal, Committee Secretary, also stated that the footage will be studied within the experts.
KATHMANDU: The special parliamentary committee formed to investigate Janardan Sharma ‘Prabhakar,’ the outgoing finance minister, will meet again at 4 p.m. The committee meeting was also held earlier in the morning.
The Nepal Police Forensic Lab provided CCTV footage during the morning meeting. The recovered footage, according to the committee, will be kept and viewed with the experts in the afternoon meeting.
“The experts are confused,” committee member Laxman Lal Karna informed Makalu Khabar. We will jointly examine the CCTV footage provided by the forensic lab.
After the morning meeting, Surendra Aryal, Committee Secretary, also stated that the footage will be studied within the experts.
However, another committee member stated that because the forensic lab report is unclear, an expert will be called. “Nothing will be seen in the report,” he said. Perhaps you don’t know how to open it. That was not made abundantly clear. That is why professionals are hired. Now, at 4 p.m., we will meet with them and study.’
He claimed that nothing was visible in the alleged recovered video. “Although some glimpses are visible, nothing special is visible,” the member explained, adding, “Now I study with experts.” Experts should provide some clues.
Finance Minister Sharma resigned on July 6 after being accused of manipulating tax rates by involving unauthorized individuals while preparing the budget for the fiscal year 2089/80. The same committee is studying.
