Two bills table in NA
The first meeting was adjourned for ten minutes, and the second meeting has begun, with the Citizenship Bill being discussed.
KATHMANDU: Two bills, including the Nepal Citizen First Amendment Bill, were tabled in the National Assembly (NA) today.
During the meeting, Secretary of the National Assembly Rajendra Phuyal tabled the Nepal Citizenship First Amendment Bill, 2079, which had been received with a message from the House of Representatives (HoR).
Secretary Phuyal informed the Assembly of the HoR message regarding the ‘Nepal Engineering Council First Amendment Bill, 2076’ and the ‘Senior Citizens First Amendment Bill, 2075,’ both of which were passed by the National Assembly and sent to the HoR.
Similarly, Water Supply Minister Uma Kanta Chaudhary proposed in the meeting that the Water Supply and Sanitation Bill, 2076 be referred to the Bill Management Committee for discussion.
