Ram Chandra Poudel overjoyed with the passage of Citizenship Bill

KATHMANDU: Ram Chandra Poudel, senior leader of the Nepali Congress, expressed his delight at the passage of the Citizenship Bill.

Poudel made the remarks after the House of Representatives approved a bill to amend the Nepal Citizenship Act 2063 by a large margin on Friday.

He responded via social media that the long-standing commitment had been met. “We are pleased that the non-residential Nepali Citizenship Bill, which we have promised for a long time, has moved forward,” he said. “Nepal has been recognizing the sweat of Gorkhali abroad since 200 years ago.” Congratulations and best wishes to all of the recipients!
