Target to limit loan growth rate to 12 percent

KATHMANDU: Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has set a target of 12 percent lending in the financial year 2079/80.

Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari’s monetary policy announcement on Friday set such a goal.

Loans to moneylenders are expected to grow by 12%, while loans to the private sector will grow by 12.6 percent.

While the growth rate of loan disbursement reached 19% in the previous fiscal year.
