Committee formed to investigate Janardhan Sharma to work within the extended time

KATHMANDU: The parliamentary special committee formed to investigate the issue of unauthorized entry during budget preparation is ready to work within the extended time frame.
Surendra Aryal, Committee Secretary, stated that during the committee meeting on Friday at Singh Durbar, preparations were made to complete the remaining work of the investigation within the extended time limit.
The meeting also discussed former Finance Minister Janardan Sharma’s and news reporters’ statements.
According to Secretary Aryal, the committee’s next meeting will be held on Sunday, and further investigation will begin.
When then-Finance Minister Sharma was accused of manipulating tax rates by calling the Ministry of Finance at night among unauthorized persons during the budget preparation for 2079/080, a parliamentary special investigation committee was formed, and its term was extended by seven days.
