Bajura: Birth of a child on the way

DHANGADHI: On the road in Bajura, a woman gave birth to a child. Kartika BK, 35, of Swamikartik Khapar Rural Municipality-1 Muktikot in the district, gave birth on the road.
Her relatives drove her to a health center more than an hour away from the village as there was no health worker at Majhgaon Health Unit Center in Ward No. 2. She was returned as there were also no medical personnel present.
She gave birth to a son on the road near the Tahada River while returning home. After the rural municipality did not extend the term of the staff, the unit health center became staffless.
Neither Anami nor Aheb, who are working at the health post, have been extended their term by the rural municipality. Health services have been affected due to the non-renewal of term of employees in other health institutions.
