Two drowned to death in Syangja
Both were immediately rescued and taken to a local primary hospital in Waling, where doctors declared them dead.
KATHMANDU: Two members of the same family died after being drowned in a pond located at Galyang-6, Pelakot on Wednesday evening.
Bindra Gurung, 33, of Galyang-6, and Sofia Gurung, four, died after drowning in a pond built for irrigation purposes.
According to Rabindra Khanal, a District Police Office spokesperson, father Bindra stepped into the pond to save his daughter Sofia, who was drowning.
Both were immediately rescued and taken to a local primary hospital in Waling, where doctors declared them dead.
