Parliamentary Special Inquiry Committee taking statement with Janardhan Sharma today
The committee decided on Tuesday to call Sharma for a statement today.
KATHMANDU: The House of Representatives’ Special Investigation Committee will hear a statement from outgoing Finance Minister Janardan Sharma today.
The committee decided on Tuesday to call Sharma for a statement today.
Today, the committee will hold its first meeting with the former finance secretaries. They had prepared to take a statement from Sharma earlier on Tuesday, but it was postponed after the CCTV footage was not found.
The committee has determined that the footage has been deleted and has decided to have it recovered by a technician.
The then finance minister Sharma resigned in the case of unauthorized persons entering the budget process and tax rate revision. The House of Representatives formed an inquiry committee prior to his resignation.
