Monsoon to be more active, heavy rains in these states

KATHMANDU: It has been raining in different parts of the country since this morning. Light to moderate rains, with thunderstorms and heavy rains, are falling in one or two areas of Lumbini State.

According to the Department of Water and Meteorology, there is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder/lightning in many parts of the country this afternoon. Heavy rain is possible in a few areas of the Far West, Lumbini, Gandaki, Bagmati, and Madhesh states.

At night, there will be a normal to complete change across the country. Some areas of the country may experience light to moderate rain. Heavy rains are also possible in Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and a few places in the Far West States.

The department has requested to be cautious as the water level in rivers, canals, and rivers may rise, disrupting daily life.
