Balen filed 2 complaints against the media

KATHMANDU: Balendra Shah, the Mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has filed a complaint against two media outlets.

He lodged a complaint with the Press Council against Himalaya TV and Nepal Samachar Patra Dainik on Tuesday.

He has filed a complaint alleging that when the Kathmandu Metropolitan City budget is allocated, it will be given to a specific organization, which is false, misleading, and deceptive information.

He announced on social media that he had filed a petition seeking compensation as well as action under Section 4 of the Journalist Code of Conduct, 2073 (including the first amendment, 2076).
