KATHMANDU: Citizens over the age of 18 in Kathmandu are receiving an additional dose (booster) of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Citizens over the age of 18 will be given a booster dose of the Covishield vaccine against COVID-19 in all Kathmandu health institutions.
The vaccination program will be held in all health institutions in Kathmandu from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to Acting Chief Basant Adhikari of the District Health Office Kathmandu. The booster vaccination campaign will last until July 22.
If three months of second dose vaccination have passed, a booster vaccination can be administered. Doctors advise against vaccinating people who have a fever or are otherwise ill.
The health office has also asked that anyone getting vaccinated bring the first and second dose vaccination cards or an electronically registered print copy.
