Monsoon to be more active for three days beginning today, with heavy rain expected in these states

KATHMANDU:  It has been raining in different parts of the country since this morning.

Some areas of State 1 are experiencing light to moderate rain, including Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and the Far West States.

The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology predicts scattered to moderate rains across the country this afternoon.

In many parts of the country, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is possible. Heavy rain is possible in a few places in the Gandaki and Lumbini regions.

Across the country, skies will be partly to partly cloudy tonight. Some areas of the country may experience light to moderate rain. According to the department, heavy rain is possible in parts of Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and the Far West States.
