Janardhan Case: Inquiry made by Committee with Revenue Secretary
The committee meeting, which is taking place at Sinha Durbar on Sunday, has been questioned to Revenue Secretary Krishnahari Puskar.
KATHMANDU: The Revenue Secretary was questioned by the special parliamentary committee formed to investigate outgoing Finance Minister Janardan Sharma ‘Prabhakar.’
The committee meeting, which is taking place at Sinha Durbar on Sunday, has been questioned to Revenue Secretary Krishnahari Puskar. According to one committee member, the committee has inquired with him in order to learn the truth.
The then-Finance Minister Sharma resigned on July 6, following allegations of revenue rate manipulation by allowing unauthorized persons to enter the 2079/080 budget.
The committee had asked for details and CCTV footage last Tuesday.
People involved in the budget’s preparation have been questioned from Sunday.
Sharma is expected to be involved in the committee’s procedures as well.
