Bhusal takes oath as Deputy Speaker

KATHMANDU: Pushpa Bhusal, the newly elected Deputy Speaker, has taken the oath of office.

On Sunday afternoon, she took the oath at a ceremony held at the President’s Office Shital Niwas.

Speaker Agni Prasad Sapkota swore her in in the presence of President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Vice President Nanda Bahadur Pun ‘Pasang,’ and National Assembly Chairperson Ganesh Prasad Timilsina.

On July 15, Bhusal was elected Deputy Speaker. Bhusal was elected as Deputy Speaker, a post that had been vacant for nearly three years, defeating UML’s Bidya Bhattarai by 55 votes.
