India opens Dhauliganga dam, such is an administration request

KATHMANDU: The Mahakali River’s water level has risen. After India opened the dam of the Dhauliganga hydropower project in Dharchula, the water level in Mahakali rose.

With the rising water level, the District Administration Office in Darchula and the District Police Office in Kanchanpur have urged residents to be cautious in riparian areas.

Releasing the information, urged to be vigilant as the water level of Mahakali will rise as the hydropower project has opened the dam from 5 am to 8 pm.
