In Pics: Demonstration of ANNISU against Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari

KATHMANDU: ANNISU, a student organization affiliated with the ruling Maoist party, protested against Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari.

On the exhibition route in Kathmandu today, the campus district committee of revolutionaries demonstrated against the governor’s office.

The ANNISU demanded that the governor be removed because a person named M Adhikari from Khotang, who is a member of the UML’s finance and planning department, is actually Governor Mahaprasad Adhikari.

During the protest, students set fire to the Adhikari’s idol as well as the tires. The agitation will continue until the governor resigns, according to the organization.

Previously, the Maoists in parliament demanded the resignation of governor Adhikari.
