KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has stated that he has not made a decision to purchase arms.

Prime Minister Deuba made the remarks while speaking to NC’s central working committee.

After members pointed out that buying arms for the police would not be good for the country’s dollar reserves, Prime Minister Deuba stated that the government has not decided to buy arms.

Arjun Narasingha KC and Gopal Man Shrestha, who spoke at the end of the meeting, raised the issue this time. When Shrestha said that the government should stop buying arms if he was going to do so, Deuba interrupted him and said, “Where is the issue of buying arms?” The government has done nothing to purchase arms.
