Maoists demand resignation of Governor Adhikari
Maoist leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha raised a question about M Adhikari in the Finance and Planning Department of UML and demanded that the governor resign.
KATHMANDU: The CPN (Maoist Center), a coalition partner in the ruling coalition, has demanded the resignation of Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari.
Speaking at the National Assembly (NA) meeting on Thursday, Maoist leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha raised a question about M Adhikari in the Finance and Planning Department of UML and demanded that the governor resign, saying that it is understood that the official who was Maha Prasad in 2073 is now M Adhikari.
“Everyone feels the same way because of the dispute,” he added. To determine whether or not, reliable documentation is required. He was the one in 2073, but now he must claim to be the other. If not, he should have resigned as there was a dispute.
He demanded that the UML or the governor resign as the governor had failed to refute it credibly.
