KATHMANDU: Siddhartha Bank Limited has provided financial assistance of Rs. 5,06,250 to Kathmandu Nepal Eye Hospital on Wednesday.

Ajay Singh Bhandari, Head of Circle Office, Tripureshwor, handed over the money to Dr. Gopal Prasad Pokhrel, Chairperson, Nepal Eye Hospital.

The funds received from the bank will be used by Nepal Eye Hospital to provide free glasses to 675 students identified through the community school vision screening program.

The bank believes that by providing this assistance, students who are forced to study without glasses due to their poor eyesight will be able to study more easily.

Under corporate social responsibility, the bank has run programs in health, the environment, and a variety of other areas.

The bank has stated that it will always prioritize institutional social responsibility in the future.
