Prachanda’s commitment to solve the citizenship problem of Non-Resident Nepalis
The delegation of the Non-Resident Nepali Association thanked the Maoist party for its initiative in bringing the Citizenship Bill in the House.
LALITPUR: Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda,’ former Prime Minister and Chairperson of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center), has expressed his willingness to take the lead in resolving the citizenship issue for Non-Resident Nepalis.
On Tuesday, the chairperson told a delegation of the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) at his residence in Khumaltar, “We have already raised the issue of non-resident Nepalis and we are still committed to resolving the issue by passing a bill on citizenship.”
During the meeting, the delegation of the Non-Resident Nepali Association thanked the Maoist party for its initiative in bringing the Citizenship Bill in the House including the issues including citizenship issues and requested for the initiative to ensure the rights of 8 million non-resident Nepalis.
Narayan Kaji Shrestha, the party’s senior leader, was also present, as were Dr. Badri KC, Vice Chairperson Mahesh Shrestha, Europe Regional Coordinator Chintamani Sapkota, Ramesh Kafle, and other personalities.
