KATHMANDU: The government has raised the cost of public transportation yet again. As the market price of gasoline has risen, so has the fare for public transportation, which went into effect on Monday.
The Department of Transport Management has issued a notice informing passengers and freight vehicles operating in Antar State that their fares have been raised.
The department raised the passenger vehicle fare by 1.79 percent.
Freight vehicle rates increased by 2.34 percent on hilly routes and 2.6 percent on terai routes.
