Diplomats’ role important to boost tourism: Minister Shrestha
Minister Shrestha further said the diplomats could introduce new schemes to attract tourists, and foreign investment and enhance people-to-people relations.
KATHMANDU: Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Jivan Ram Shrestha, has said diplomats could play a significant role to promote tourism in Nepal.
At an interaction with the recently proposed and appointed ambassadors to different countries at the ministry on Monday, Minister Shrestha argued diplomatic arena was an important platform to attract tourists in Nepal. He sought activism from them.
Minister Shrestha further said the diplomats could introduce new schemes to attract tourists, and foreign investment and enhance people-to-people relations.
He also vowed to ensure the safety to air flights and at airports for the expansion of tourism. The Minister also informed that the Indian government was requested to allow/open new air route to Nepal.
