KATHMANDU: The Kathmandu Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) has fined a company Rs 25,000 for dumping garbage in Dhobikhola near Ratopul in Kathmandu.
Mayor Balen Shah stated that the metropolitan has imposed 25,000 fines as a result of the company dumping a large amount of garbage in the field with a dozer becoming public on Monday morning.
‘Yesterday and today, videos and photos of garbage being dumped in Dhobikhola were discussed on social media,’ said Mayor Balen. Following an investigation into the material, we fined the company involved Rs. 25,000 in accordance with the rules.’
He has also asked that the perpetrators of such crimes be identified and brought to justice.
“It is important that no one does anything inappropriate, and that if anyone does, that we remain vigilant.” “Thank you for making such works public and bringing them to the metropolitan,” he said. “We request that you not repeat such acts in the coming days, and if you see them done, bring them to the public’s attention.”
