Bharatpur: 21-year-old Sandeep died on a scooter after being hit by a truck

KATHMANDU: A truck struck a scooter in Bharatpur Metropolitan City-1, near the Pokhara Bus Park, killing one person.

One person was injured. Sandeep Gurung, 21, of Ichchhakamana Rural Municipality, has been identified as the deceased.

According to the District Police Office, at around 1.30 a.m. this morning, a truck (Na 5 Kha 8497) heading towards Muglin from Pulchowk collided with a scooter (Na 26 Pa 4851) heading towards Pokhara Bus Park.

The collision seriously injured Manish Lama, 21, of Gaindakot Municipality-4. He is being treated at the Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur.

Gurung, who was riding in the back of the scooter, died while undergoing treatment. The police have taken control of the driver.
