One died, one fell ill after consuming herbs in Achham

KATHMANDU: One person has died and another has fallen ill after consuming herbs in Achham.

Ganesh Khatri, 42, of the district’s Chaurpati Rural Municipality Ward No. 4 has been identified as the deceased.

Kishor Bhat, 29, of Sanfebagar Municipality Ward No. 7, has been identified as a sick person. Both of them were taken to Bayalpata Hospital for treatment after becoming seriously ill after consuming the herbs but one died while undergoing treatment said the deceased family.

Bhat, who is critically ill, is being treated at Bayalpata Hospital. According to Bayalpata Hospital, the deceased has been transferred to Mangalsain District Hospital for autopsy.
