Budhiganga Poll: UML won in five wards while NC in three wards
The UML has retained its lead in the positions of mayor and deputy mayor.
KATHMANDU: The final results of eight of Bajura Budhiganga Municipality’s ten wards have been made public. UML has won in five wards, while Congress has won in three.
Wards 1, 2, 3, 9, and 10 were won by the UML, while Wards 4, 7, and 8 were won by Congress. The counting of votes in Wards 5 and 6 is currently underway.
The UML has retained its lead in the positions of mayor and deputy mayor. UML currently leads the mayoral race with 780 votes out of a total of 7,417 votes cast.
Ram Bahadur Baniya of the CPN-UML has secured 3,881 votes while Rang Bahadur Khati of the Nepali Congress has secured 3,101 votes.
Maya Kumari Khadka (Kuwar) of the UML has maintained her lead in the race for deputy mayor, with 3,753 votes. Rita Shahi of the Nepali Congress is in second place with 3,153 votes. UML’s Khadka is leading with 600 votes.
