Newborn infant found under ladder of Bharatpur Hospital

KATHMANDU: An infant (daughter) has been found under the ladder of Bharatpur Hospital in Chitwan.

According to the Chitwan District Police Office, the two-day-old infant was found under the ladder of the hospital’s C Block at around 3 p.m. today.

The infant’s health is stable. The infant who was found helpless under the ladder of the hospital is being treated in the NICU, according to the hospital.

The infant’s relatives have not been found. Police are looking into who abandoned the baby.
