Finance Secretary Marasini returned to work

KATHMANDU: Madhu Kumar Marasini, Secretary at the Ministry of Finance, has returned to work.

Following the resignation of Finance Minister Janardan Sharma, Finance Secretary Marasini returned to work on Thursday.

It is understood that Marasini has returned to work after PM Sher Bahadur Deuba instructed him to take charge of the Finance Ministry.

He had been on a leave of the office as of Wednesday afternoon. He returned to the office on Thursday.

Prime Minister Deuba has also directed Secretary Marasini to work with the committee established to investigate Finance Minister Sharma.
