Attempted to label me a criminal when investigation committee formed: Janardan Sharma

KATHMANDU: Outgoing Finance Minister Janardan Sharma has claimed that while forming the parliamentary inquiry committee, he was labeled a criminal.

Sharma said lawmakers had called him a criminal before the formation of a special parliamentary committee on Wednesday, speaking at a meeting of the UCPN-M’s central committee on Thursday. Such remarks, he believes, should be removed from the parliamentary record.

“They tried to call me a criminal yesterday while we were forming the committee,” he said. That statement should have been removed. The friends in the back stood up, but the leadership in the front remained silent.
