Dev Gurung’s Demand: Send an immediate letter to US not participate in SPP

KATHMANDU: Dev Gurung, Chief Whip of the CPN (Maoist Center), has demanded that the US State Partnership Program (SPP) be terminated immediately.

On Thursday, he made the demand while speaking in the House of Representatives (HoR). “Write an immediate letter to the US refusing to participate in the SPP,” he advised.

The cabinet had decided not to participate in the SPP. The letter was delivered to the State Department via the Interior Ministry but has yet to be delivered to the United States.
