KATHMANDU: The Ramshahpath Traffic Police Office in Kathmandu Valley has launched a campaign to remove or delete obscene, indigestible, abusive, illegal, and distorted literary poems, poems, ghazals, and various articles written on vehicles.

The contents written on various parts of the vehicle were removed by the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police after it was discovered that they had diverted the driver’s attention and caused the accident.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office, the campaign was launched because it is against Nepali law to disseminate or write any kind of poetry, shayari, or any kind of material that insults and disrespects women, children, and marginalized communities.

Obscene and ambiguous articles have increased social and mental disturbance, violence, and perversion, as well as an inflamed street civilization, prompting traffic officers to put a stop to such activities.

Similarly, the traffic police have warned drivers not to place stickers or other promotional materials on their vehicle’s windshield.

The driver is also prohibited by the traffic police from placing decorative items and a music system in or around the cabin.
