KATHMANDU: The three Sajha electric buses brought by public transportation in the first phase will be operational in Kathmandu beginning Thursday. The first phase’s electric buses are being tested and put into service with number plates and routes.
The buses will officially begin service on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Sajha, Pulchowk office. Female drivers and co-drivers operate these buses.
These buses are built at CHTCHO Company’s electric bus factory in Nanjing, China. The Sajha transportation cooperative, which is majority-owned by the government, now has 74 large buses.
