Recommendation to hold federal & state elections on Nov 18
The commission also proposed that the government choose the date of the election from the cabinet 120 days before the election.
KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has recommended that federal and state elections be held on Mangsir 2 (Nov 18).
On Wednesday, Election Commission officials, including Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya, met with Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba and recommended date for the election.
The commission also proposed that the government choose the date of the election from the cabinet 120 days before the election.
The officials discussed the election date and other issues with the Prime Minister during their meeting.
