Government prepares to change Finance Secretary

KATHMANDU: The government is preparing to change the Finance Secretary.

According to a Baluwatar source, the government is preparing to change Finance Secretary Madhu Marasini, who is on leave for refusing to cooperate with the finance minister.

Earlier, Finance Secretary Marasini met with the Prime Minister and Chief Secretary before departing on an indefinite leave of absence. He also stated that he would not return to the office as long as the finance minister was still in charge.
