Maoists urge UML- ‘Listen to Finance Minister’s reply in Parliament’

KATHMANDU: The CPN-Maoist Center has asked to hear Finance Minister Janardan Sharma’s response in Parliament. The issue has been discussed with the main opposition party, the CPN-UML.

Following discussions with the main opposition parties, the leaders of the former standing committee met in the morning and decided to move forward.

The CPN-UML has demanded Janardan Sharma’s resignation, claiming that the tax rate was manipulated by involving unauthorized persons on the day before the budget was presented in parliament.

The Finance Minister has been chastised for deleting the day’s CCTV footage. Furthermore, the UML has boycotted any proposal presented by the finance minister in parliament.
