The Metropolitan Police Department has launched a campaign to rescue beggars living in temples and public places.

Biratnagar Mayor Nagesh Koirala stated that the city has placed a high priority on the campaign to create beggar-free roads. He claims that those who are able to work are also begging in various public places.

Manav Sewa Ashram in Biratnagar has been entrusted with the care of the helpless and handicapped.

Meanwhile, the city has stepped up its campaign to remove the footpath. When construction materials are placed haphazardly, the problem of inundation occurs on a regular basis.

Similarly, the city has worked hard to bring stray cattle under control.
