NMB Bank provides assistance in the reconstruction of a school building
The bank rebuilt four rooms and handed over them to the school as part of a program.
KATHMANDU: NMB Bank has restructured/maintained the roof of Saraswati Primary School at Birendranagar Surkhet-16 and maintained the classrooms under its social responsibility. Students were forced to study in the open after a strong wind blew off the roof of the school last Jestha (May/June).
The bank rebuilt four rooms and handed over them to the school as part of a program. Mitra Raj Pyakurel, Regional Manager, Nirmal Gauli, and others represented the bank at the project’s closing and handover ceremony.
On behalf of the school, officials from the school’s management committee, teachers, students, and journalists were present. Regional Manager Pyakurel stated on the occasion that this collaboration would help students with their studies.
Bahadur Khadka Khadka, the school’s principal, stated that they were pleased to learn that the bank assisted in social work despite the fact that they knew the bank would only conduct financial transactions.
“We are pleased with NMB Bank’s cooperation in social work among teachers, students, and parents,” said Principal Khadka. In such a situation, the bank’s assistance is incomparable.’
