Two held with undisclosed cash

KATHMANDU: Two people were nabbed in Dhanusha, along with Rs. 8.3 million.

Ishwor Mandal of Janaknandini Rural Municipality-5 and Rajesh Mandal, 19, are among those arrested.

Based on classified information, the Armed Police Force Nepal 8th Battalion recovered Rs. 83 lakh 64 thousand five hundred on Tuesday while checking a motorcycle with the registration number J-7P 5007. They were transporting money from India to Nepal by hiding it in a potato sag.

According to police, the recovered amount was handed over to the District Customs Office in Janakpur.
