KATHMANDU: Eight of the 13 people killed in a bus accident on the border of Ramechhap’s Sunapati Rural Municipality-5 and Khandadevi Rural Municipality-1 on Tuesday morning have been identified.

Nine people died on the spot, and four died later at Dhulikhel Hospital.

The deceased have been identified as Thula Tamang, 60, of Sunapati-5, Ramechhap, Sarita Tamang, 26, of Sunapati-4, Khadak Bahadur BK, 36, of Sunapati-5, Kamal Tamang, 25, of Kavre Roshi Rural Municipality-4 and Sudip Gajmer, 18, of Kavre Panchkhal-8, Bipana Tamang, 22, of Sunapati-5, Ramechhap, Subha Laxmi Manandhar, 60, of Kavre Mandandeupur Municipality-9, Sunapati-5 Ramechhap, Sanju Ale Magar, 36, of Khaniyapani and Kul Bahadur BK, 40, of Panchkhal-8 Kavre

The identities of the other victims have yet to be determined. Twenty people were hurt in the accident and are being treated at Dhulikhel Hospital.

The bus (Ba 3 Kha 8696) from Ramechhap to Kathmandu was involved in an accident at 10:15 a.m. today.
