Achham Binod Shahi’s death case: Tense in district headquarters, tear gas fired by police
More than 12 police officers were injured in the incident.
DHANGADHI: Mangalsen, the district headquarters of Achham, has become tense. The district headquarters has become tense as a result of the protest calling for justice in the death of Panchadewal Binayak-4 resident Binod Shahi.
On Monday, relatives and locals reached to the district headquarters in Mangalsen in search of Shahi’s justice. They demonstrated by throwing stones at the government prosecutor’s office and the district court in Achham, claiming that the prosecutor’s office had played a role in the accused’s release.
More than 12 police officers were injured in the incident, according to the District Police Office in Achham.
According to the police, 12 officers were seriously injured, including two police inspectors and a female officer.
Several protesters were reportedly injured. The police used 12 tear gas shells to control the situation after the argument became heated.
According to the police, the situation is now under control.
