State 1 SA passes budget for next FY, 2022/23
The proposal was forwarded to make the state government more accountable, transparent and responsible, said Neupane.
BIRATNAGAR: The State Assembly (SA) meeting of State 1 today passed a budget for the next fiscal year, 2022/23, with the majority. The budget passed after Speaker Pradip Kumar Bhandari tabled the proposal for a decision.
Earlier, the SA members by a majority rejected the proposal to reduce Rs 100 under the heading of service and consultation for the budget. The proposal for budget reduction was forwarded by five members of the SA including Tulasi Prasad Neupane on behalf of the CPN (UML) Parliamentary Party.
The proposal was forwarded to make the state government more accountable, transparent and responsible, said Neupane.
On the occasion, stating that the government was fully responsible to the SA, the Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning of the State Indra Bahadur Aangbo said the government was spending the budget within the purview of the State.
On June 15, the minister tabled the estimated annual revenue and expenditures worth Rs 39.7 billion for the State for the next FY.
