KATHMANDU: Voices have been raised in the CPN-Maoist Central Committee meeting that an alliance should not be formed.

The valley Special State Committee chairperson, Jagat Simkhada, stated at the meeting that the election symbol was being forgotten as a result of the alliance.

In reference to the local elections, he stated, “It is time to forget the election symbol and focus on the alliance.” So many seats would be available on their own.’

According to Simkhada, the Nepali Congress has benefited greatly from the alliance. “We have to think seriously about the alliance with Congress,” he said. It should be noted that there is currently no alliance. We must prepare for the election on our own.’
